Instructional Goal:
With the use of Glogster, 5th grade students from Progreso ISD will create rich media digital posters, by implementing several media tools including, graphics, video, and links without any assistance.
Instructional Duty:

The presenter (Teacher) will guide and facilitate students on how to use and create a Glogster presentation.
The audience (Students) will listen and practice on how to create a Glogster.
Materials and/or equipment needed:
StudentsThe following materials will be needed to complete this training:
Students
will have access to desktop computers, instructional packagescomputers with speakers/headsets
Teacher will need a Projector and Laptop to demonstrate the use of Glogster

Instructional Delivery of Materials:
the usage of Glogster. The lesson will be delivered through web-based instruction through a wiki training page. All the instructioal material (video, guide) will be uploaded to the wiki training page so students could have access anytime
The students will use desktop computer which will have have a shortcutshortcut icon to the Glogster and wiki page for instructions. instructions.
The students will receive instructional packages, which will will have writtenwritten instructions on how to Glogster and the usage of of the toolstools on Glogster.
The instructional include a Flow Chart, which which will visuallyvisually show students the steps and tasks necessary to complete complete each step.step.
The students will have to the instructional wiki page, page, which willwill have a training video. The training video will demonstrate demonstrate step by stepstep how to logon to Glogster, and will demonstrate the the usage of the toolstools on Glogster.
Content Presentation
The instructional training and all of the materials will be delivered electronically through a wiki training page. The training instructional guide and instructional video will be uploaded to the training wiki page. The learners will access to the wiki page by accessing the shortcut displayed on the desktops of each computer in the computer lab, and each learner will receive the wiki web page address before the training, and if necessary they can access the training material anytime throughout the school year. A training instructional guide will be given to each of the learners before the lesson: inside the training guide will consist of the instructions on “How to Create A Glogster”. Also inside the instructional guide the learners will have the task analysis diagram displaying the main tasks necessary to complete each objective. The purpose of using the diagram will be so that the learners can have a visual guide of the steps to be followed in the training.

Instructional Guide

Prerequisite: The teacher will classroom Glogster giving every student student access to the Educational Glogster.
Step 1: 1: Students log in to http://edu.glogster.com
Click on on the Log In link of the page
Step 2: 2: Use your username and was provided by your teacher teacher to login to your account
Step 3: 3: Once you login, Click button that says “Create New New Glog” at the top of your screen.
A new new Glog template will open and begin creating.
Step 4: 4: You will notice objects on your new template,template, delete these objects objects so you can start fresh. To delete, click onceonce on the object and a red trashcan trashcan will appear on the edit menu.
Click the the trashcan and the object deleted. You can also clickclick once on the object object and push your delete on your keyboard.
Step 5: 5: In order to add new objects, locate your magneticmagnetic tool bar. bar. It is usually floating moved up or down dependingdepending on where you you are working in the Glog.
If your your magnetic toolbar is hiding, expand or open it up. up.
Step 6: 6: To add graphics, click on the magnetic toolbartoolbar item called Graphics Graphics and a dialog box will appear. There are categoriescategories to help narrow down down your search.
When you you have found one to graphic so it will appearappear in the right-side right-side preview pane and then the button Use It! ThisThis will add it to your your Glog.
Step 7: 7: On your Glog Page, on the graphic you wishwish to edit. Now Now you should see the up above the graphic. ThisThis menu will allow allow you to do the following:

With the arrows located around the object, object, you can resize or rotate.
Step 8: 8: To add text, click button on the magnetic toolbar toolbar and a dialogue box with different categories.
When you you have selected a category click on that text optionoption so it will appear appear in the right-side preview pane and then click thethe button Use It! This will will add it to your Glog.
Step 9: 9: To add a Video, the Video button on thethe magnetic toolbar toolbar and a dialog box The first time you useuse this feature you will will not see any videos in the workspace.
You have have the option to Upload computer, Link to one onon the Internet, Internet, or Grab one via have the option of using SchoolTubeusing SchoolTube Videos.
To upload a video from your hard drive, drive, click the Upload button video to open. (Recorded videos) videos)
To link to a video via the web, click click Link and a dialog box willwill appear. Paste the web address and then click click Add To Your Files. (Videos(Videos from YouTube)
Obtaining videos is selecting SchoolTube SchoolTube videos on the left handhand navigation bar. In the search bar, type type a keyword to find videos thatthat are related to your Video from a webcam, click click the Grab button. A appear to guide you through through the process.
Once the the video has been selected, option of adding the videovideo to a player. player. Select the player of Use It! Now it willwill be added to to your Glog.
